I used to have partial complex seizures from birth to around age 28. I no longer get them but know exactly what you are talking about with the order or smell that preceeds a seizure. I do not experience anything like that with my ch. I used to have around 30 seizures a day. Now I have none. However, I have noticed that emotionally that are many similarities between the two as far as no control, disrupting life, effects on work, etc. I have often wondered if there is some kind of physical link but most people on the board have no history of seizures. My mom often asks if I am sure this aren't mini seizures in disgues because the seizures would leave me with a terrible headache. The grand mals are like constantly being hit by a freight train for up to a week. Also the pain is not the same! Ultimately I think they are two very different creatures both caused by the brain. That is just my thoughts but I may be proved wrong someday who knows.
