Regarding your husbands cluster headaches and predinisone being taken for them, I am a female and suffer from the dreaded cluster headache. I have been on 8 different prescriptions for them and finally I found a nuerologist that has helped me with prednisone therapy. "Burst and taper" where you take 8 pills for 3 days, 6 pills for 3 days, etc.. Prednisone is the ONLY drug that I have taken that has helped me. I have noticed temporary weight gain, and blotches on my face that soon fades after the therapy is finished. My clusters come once a year usually in the fall. My bout with them last year was the worst I had ever experienced. I had relief with the first days dosage of prednisone. Hope you find some relief!!
