R.W. like you I too was taking Amerge 2.5 and Imitrex
injections. But unlike you my doctor told me to take the
amerge 2.5 twice a day. One in a.m and one in p.m. He
told me if after taking the amerge, I was still experiencing
tremendous pain, to then take the injections. My headaches
last for exactly 6 six weeks. By following his instructions
I never had to take the injections. And I was actually able
to get off of amerge 2 weeks early. So you might
want to tell your dr. my story. It sounds like you are taking
the meds backwards. note: amerge has to get into your system,
so the first week I did feel the pain. But at week 2 it was so
weak, it did not prevent me from doing anything. So check with
