Hi Tammy,
To get an MRI or a scan, you need to see a Neurologist first. A general practitionner can prescribe a visit to a Neuro. Check in your city for a migraine clinic first, try to find the name a headache specialist in your area and then request a prescription or a recommendation from your doctor to see that specific Neuro. Usually, the wait to get a scan or an MRI is at least 1 month.
