The Dutch CH specialist Dr, Ferrari, Academic Hospital Leiden,
recommended Verapamil to me.And it works. Normally it will take 1 to
2 weeks to get your system to adjust to the drug. So the advice
given to you will probably mean "start at the beginning of a cycle".

Verapamil is a controlled release drug. This means that the
the effective components do their work over a periode of
approx. 12 hours. I have been in a situation that I was too late
taken the drug. By breaking the capsule (pil) in two parts I felt
the effect within an hour. I would not recommend such action without
consulting the doctor about this. I do not know what the
possible side effects could be.
