I've had episodic clusters for 11 years. I tried Flonase and it only helped sometimes. About three weeks ago, my doctor talked to a neurosurgeon who recommended cyproheptadine. It's generic name is Periactin and it is an antihisamine. I also take endomethican. I haven't had a severe headache from about two days after I started taking these medications. Just a few mild ones when I ate cheese or drank a beer. So I stopped those habits again. Those are my main triggers. I'm also nearing the end of my cluster period, but I think the cyproheptadine is what is making me better.I'm very pleased with the resultsand have had no side affects. Hope this helps.
