After 2 years of Chronic CH, Topamax has been a wonder drug for me. I'm taking 100mg morning and night and except for an occasional break thru, am not having ANY HAs. This is the most painfree I've been in YEARS and YEARs and YEARS and I feel as close to normal as a CHer can feel.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying I'm cured, but for right now, the Topamax is working and I'm enjoying every minute of it. I keep the Ercaf handy in case I THINK I might be going to have a HA. I'm a little paranoid about them right now. So if I think one might even think of coming on I take the Ercaf. Not many get a chance to hit. Have only had a couple of 5+ since I began the Topamax several months ago.
I really don't notice any side effects. I seem to have more energy, but I do drink a lot of water. Since nothing else has EVER worked for me, I just hope the Topamax keeps on working forever. It's wonderful to be able to go to sleep at night and not worry about the demon waking me up. I wish the same for everyone.
