As you know, my husband has been having clusters for 16+ months now, and he recently was put on depakote and prednislone, which helped until he was unable to walk due to the prednislone and had to be weaned off it quicker than normal, now these monsters are back in full force! He has had about 10 nights of being painfree in over 16 months. Yesterday evening, during a party for one of our children, he had an attack so bad that he could not function. He was also told this past week he has allergies and to start allegra, but once he started taking it, it seemed to make things worse! He was standing helping the kids make pizza when the last attack happened, it lasted over 2 hrs, then he went off to sleep only to wake to it again at 6 am, he is just thankful to getting 6 hrs sleep. We have an appointment with the neuro on tuesday. Any suggestions of what we should question or do next would be appreciated. Also, has anyone had bloodwork done to see if there was a problem there? Just seems odd to me that there has been no blood work up done.
