...I fought this battle over a $1000 MRI. I still had to pay for it, but it gave me lots of paperwork to send to my congressman, and some personal satisfaction that I am a thorn in their side. Thinking back, if I had done the paperwork in advance--with my doctor--the outcome might have been different. A note on the other side, however: read the posts about the dangers of too much of a good thing. Imitrex was a miracle for me but may have contributed to my (unknown at the time) heart problems.
