I treated my current cluster (it's almost over, I can
feel it) completly using non-prescription means.

The things that helped me are, first, DIET! Eliminating
the suspect triggers from my diet made a big difference.
I still got headaches, but they were minor by comparison, if I slipped
and ate something I shouldn't, I would get a more severe HA.

Also Excedrin PM prevented most nighttime attacks, don't
stay on it longer than you need to though. Excedrin Migraine
helped with daytime HA, (it contains caffeine, you probably shouldn't
use it at night), you will probably need to take it before
the headache starts.

When I had a headache both hot and cold packs helped,
also forcing yourself to relax helped-- tough to do
in the middle of a severe headache
