In my case, it took 480 mg. a day (2x240) of Verapamil plus a course of Prednisone for ten days before I saw any results. But it worked. It was the first time that I had gotten any relief in 43 years of episodic clusters. Unfortunately, clusters are a different-strukes-for-different-folks kind of disease. Though Verapamil was like dying and going to heaven for me, it may not work for you. Nevertheless, I suggest that you up the dosage to at least 480 mg./day and stay with it. The major side-effect is constipation. So, drink a lot of prune juice.
