The definition of chronic is: Having clusterheadaches for a period of 1 year without a break of at least 14 days during that year.

Now that's pretty open. You could have a HA everyday for 11-1/2 months and then get a 2 week remission and start up again and you would not be chronic because you had a 14 day remission during that year. Or you could get 1 headache every 13 days for a year and you would be chronic because you didn't have a 14 day remission.

Take it for what it is. In my own opinion, if you've had CH for more than 4 or 5 months straight, you're chronic.
