episodic to chronic back to episodic

age 20 - 30 = episodic w/ lengthening clusters and attacks of increasing severity & frequency in the clusters

31-32: chronic for 20 - 22 months straight, varying periods of frequency & severity per day, but no remission at all

33-50(now): episodic, pattern, last 6-8 years has settled at 3-5 months starting in midFall, and a rare shorter episode or two in spring -
average frequency & severity has been diminishing (getting better)

BUT - hard to tell how much is a "natural" pattern, and how much is response to better treatment strategies AND changes for the better re: general health & selfcare areas (quit drinking 16 years ago, quit smoking 6 years ago,etc)
