Dave,

Sorry to have to welcome you to the group.

One of my worst episodes came during recovery from ACL surgery. The episode began within a week after the surgery. I have no idea if that was the trigger, or if some of the other changes because of the surgery (sleep changes, different meds, changes in diet, change in exercise, etc.), or if it was just a coincidence. I also had three surgeries back in 91-92 to repair a broken ankle, and I don't remember if any of those surgeries were followed by an episode. Although, the more I think about it, the more I seem to remember having an episode while casted up. It was such a hinderance to my CH routine! Hard to do any serious pacing while on crutches! Hell, it's hard enough to use those damn things without being half unable to see, nose running like crazy, and just wanting to fall to the floor and use the damn crutches to beat the beast out of my head!

Hmm... Dave, you ever though about being a psychologist, because I think this discussion just dug up a repressed memory...

Good luck and I wish you pain free day and nights.
(Maybe I at least brought you a smile, cause I just re-read what I wrote, and what a ridiculous scenario - pacing around on crutches, falling all over the place, and whacking away at my skull with a pair of crutches!)

Prayers to all..

Foz
