A little know fact: CCR wrote this song while touring trough the US. Heading for Indianapolis, they passed through a little town called Shelbyville. Some clown in a hopped up Mustang, one eye closed, snot running out his nose, drooling, performed a double hogback growler on them as they passed by. Hence the inspiration for the song.
No wonder the guys been singing oldies but goodies all morning!
