I guess I didn't make myself clear on all this. I do get both clusters and migraines. The neuro isn't just piling on meds, but trying one at a time, one after the other. As for sleeping, it is not easy. Usually it is the point where my body gives out and shuts my brain down. From talking to my wife, it really isn't so much sleep as it is simply going unconcious. I do not have my eyes open, but will respond if talked to, and am usually thrashing about quite a bit. As for taking pain meds, I have several that provide various levels of pain relief. I don't just pile them on, but give each one a chance to work before I move on to the next level. Maybe I am doing this wrong, but this seems to be the way the family doctor and neuro told me to attack this. As for other drugs I take, Imitrex and oxygen work sometimes, but not all the time. If you think I don't have CH, fine, maybe my neuro is wrong and you should discuss it with her, I am sure another professional medical opinion would be well received by her.
