I've seen several postings of folks having strange smells leading up to episodes, just before a headache, etc. I've had some kind of ringing in my ears since at least my teen years, maybe as early as a bicycle accident when I was in 6th grade.
RE: Hearing--A couple weeks ago I noticed that the hearing in my cluster ear was not as good as the other. I was using the walkman-type earphones that are small & fit in your ear. One was broken, and when I switched the working earpiece from one ear to the other, I noticed that my hearing in my headache side was very significantly decreased. I keep forgetting to tell my nuerologist about it. I never noticed it before. I was chronic from aprx 1987 til 11/98. Now I may be episodic or maybe I just had one break.
