Jack, I think you make some excellent points, however you must be much more educated than the average duck like me. When I look something up in the PDR there is always a paragraph that must make sense only to a chemist or pharmicist. There is another paragraph on each drug that seems to be written especially for a diagnosing physician. Of course there is the paragraph that was written (or highly influenced) by the legal department.

I'm a reasonably bright fellow, but I have so specific training in the gargon of medicine, pharmacology, or law, so I'm never confident enough to assume I can get the essential truth out of a PDR listing.

Wether I find them here on the CHMB, in my DR's office, pharmacy, or anywhere else, I appreciate the subjective reports of those with personal experience. I know they might not reveal universal truth, but objective truth seems to be pretty elusive in the CH experience. I kind of like the idea that the responsibility may not be entirely mine alone; that I can voluntarily count on you and others to bear some of that responsibility and that you and others can willingly accept some responsibility for sharing your experience with me. Kind of like Karma or the "golden rule" or something. Anyway, I like it and I thank you and all the members of this family.

Happy New Year to you and all. PFDAN!
