I completely agree with you Jack.
I stopped doing the 'drug of the month' a long tome ago.
So many different drs and their miracle drugs wiped me out physically and financially.
I will take a pain pill I know my system can handle when I weaken from dealing with the pain on my terms.
That is it.
I have been med-free for a few yrs now and feel stronger for being so.
Some people don't believe I have the same pain as those on the scripts.
I do.
I handle it differently.
A line from one of my favorite movies:
Pain don't hurt.
I even remember reading or hearing that the brain doesn't know pain.
I keep my brain from learning.
Drugs only cloud the process.
I smoke pot on a regular basis.
This does not hurt my functioning.
I am not an advocate, but honest.
The meds given by many practitioners are great for awhile...
...but they always seem to fail.
Let's be careful with what we put into our systems.
The demon is waiting to see what we come up with next.
