Hello all. I posted earlier concerning the type of employment CH sufferers had. I have been through three cycles in my life the current one being my third. Recently I was put on Predestinone, which I finished two days ago, that started with 6 the first day, 5 the next, 4 and then so on for the next three days. It worked great while I was on them... I could feel the shadows, but that was all. I went back to work yesterday, just one day after I finished my meds, and did not get one all day. Unfortunately, I woke up in the middle of the night with the beast nawing at my eye. My wife and I headed for the emergency room, leaving our two children with my uncle, who was kind enough to drive here at 2am, only to turn around before we reached there because the CH became bearable. I forgot to mention that I usually take a couple of Benedryl sinus pills each time I feel a CH come on. We came home, sent my uncle on his way, and went to bed. I had a hard time getting to sleep but I finally made the journey to nothingness, waking every few hours in the company of the beast wondering why he was still here... and then I would sleep again.
My boss was upset this morning because we didn't call in. He has been sick in bed so we didn't want to wake him... lousy excuse but it is the truth. I will probably lose this job.
I hope we find a cure before I hit my next cycle, not that this one has ended yet.
