Yuck !! You had dinner with Alice B. Toklas?!?!?! How did you ever stomach eating at the same table with that boorish woman. All she talks about is, "Gertrude this" and "Gertrude that". Plus, the fact that she chain-smokes and has that icky mustache under her nose.
And speaking of metaphors, did Alice mention to you the Nicknames that they called each other? I believe that one of the Nicknames had something to do with a cat. Maybe that’s what us "clusterheads" need, is some kind of Nickname.
