Your response hit on something for me.
It hasn't been addressed too much on the board but here goes:
During a cycle I have alternating feelings of dread and euphoria. I believe, as you have implied, that these moods or emotions, are a reaction to my nuero-chemical imbalance. Some have said that the euphoria has more to do with the releasing of enorphins ( our way of dealing with pain ) - but I don't think so. Serotonin is a key ingredient in this game and it is a regulator of mood/emotion.
So I would put it this way - moods/emotions/ - are rather more of an effect than a cause.
This I believe.
