I am going to see a doctor who had to visit me at home over christmas due to CH.
I've hard-copied most of the info on the web site, but I wondered if anyone on
the board knew of any resources I could show him.

I've had CH about 12 years now, roughly every two years and last for between one week and two months.

Using Imigram (imitrex) injection and pethidine tablets. Preventative using pzitofen and a new drug (new to me) the doc gave me a few days ago called
carbamazepine - used for epilepsy apparently. No sign of this cycle ending soon.

Also tried me on something called diclofenac sodium. This is a pain killer and antiinflamatory used for athritis.

Further info - about eight years ago a doctor told me to take soluble codeine/paracetomol as often as I liked upto the maximum daily dosage. I get daily headaches that feel like the beginning
of a cluster, same location and type of pain, but no way as severe. I've been eating these codeine/paracetomol pills since then, always up to maximum dosage, sometimes over by a few. I think I've developed
codeine dependancy which has caused the daily headaches to continue. I've been off the codein for almost three days now since I was given pethidine for this cluster.

The codeine/paracetomol pills won't even scratch the surface of a cluster, even if I take anti-nausea pills to allow them to be absorbed. The first doctor I saw in this current cycle didn't believe me! Said I was just having a headache.
