That is how I would describe my pain to mothers who have gone thru natural childbirth.
To the men I say it is like an 'ice-cream headache' times 1000!
Oh yeah not to forget those eels squirmin around.

I used to use my fingers to press on all the pressure pts I could find.
I would breathe hard as I rocked.
A couple times I almost hyperventilated.
I now use my son's old teething ring which I keep frozen.
It fits perfectly into the space near my tearduct.
The coldness spreads out to the side of my head and with this I find relief eventually.
I have a back-up ice pack if the ring thaws before my HA breaks.
I used to end up banging the ice against my head to rid myself of the pain.
I stopped after literally knocking myself out a couple of times.

We all have our own ways of dealing with the demon.
I hope you can find something that works for you until we put an end to the pain for good.

I have a lump too.
I have been known to go insane from time to time.
I know I'm not the only one and that helps.

We are all here for you,
sue
