I think I agree if you are saying that abortives are much more universal and consistent in their efficacy ( how's that for a $5 word )than prophylactics. If that is one of your points I wholeheartedly agree.
However, if one is lucky enough to find a prophylactic that works, he or she has a much better quality of life than the guy or gal who has to keep sticking themselves with a needle or traveling around with an oxygen bottle.
