Hi all,
I saw my doctor yesterday. What a change! He was very interested in everything I could tell him about CH. I gave him hardcopies of all the data on the site and he was extremely grateful.
I was in with him for 40 minutes! The waiting room was full of people that had been held up when I came out. He even tried three chemists to try and get me 100% oxygen and took my home number as he was going to continue to try to get the oxygen today.
Oh what a relief to see a doctor who appreciates the PAIN. He ASKED me how many of each of the drugs I'm taking I'd like to have again. I ended up with six imigran injections, sixty pethidine pills, bucastem for nausea, and a new drug to me called prednisolone 5mg which is a steroid.
I started on the steroids last night and for the first time in two weeks I had a whole night without an attack. I haven't been able to get the pethidine from the chemist yet so that isn't masking the pain. I'm beginning to get my hols up that the prednisolone is a wonder drug.
I'll keep the board posted.
