I read an article years ago that a woman disovered that her depression was caused by low seretonin. I also suffered terrible depression and anxiety (something I recently learned is ALSO caused by low seretonin). From what I've read CH can be triggered by, you guessed it, low seretonin.
I tried taking St Johns Wort. This is prescribed more that valium in Germany as an antidepressant. I thought I noticed a more positive attitude in myself within a week or so of taking it. My doctor has now advised me to stop taking it though.
