I was into my cluster about 6 weeks when my Doc tried Topomax. It tended to localize the pain into one small area above my ear and also seemed to move the pain more to the surface. The pain was so intense that i could not touch my scalp or stand to put an ice pack against it. The next day the roots of my hair would hurt. I only tried this a week and then went off of it. I had practically identical effects with Depacote also when I tried it a few years ago. Sure hope it works for you. The research literature looked really promising,hope it works great for you.
