Guess everyone is a little different depnding on the location of blood vessels and nerves. I have pain in a majority of the left side of my head but the real sharp stuff is usually in my temple and above my ear. The 10s will creep down the front of the ear into the jaw and around the back of the ear into the back of the head and neck. My yemple and above the ear get so painful I can't keep the ice pack on them. I wind up holding the pack on the back of the neck or holding it 1/2 inch off my head. Just can't touch the painful area at all.
