Before I was diagnosed the only form of treatment that worked was a trip to the ER and a shot of demerol. I took my daughter to the movies one night and had the worst attck yet. By the time I made it to the ER I had downed 8 Percodan. The doc was amazed that I told him the truth. I told him I am 49 and can't imagine why I would hide anything. Boy, was I wrong, everything goes down on record. This and not finding a neuro in town led to my being tagged a drug seeker. I'm more or less stabilized with medication now. It took a whole lot to convince my docs to try Ritalin, but after having copied untold amounts of research information and sending it to my two docs they gave in.
