He is my best friend!! Recently celebrated 7 years of sobriety and when I stopped drinking the headaches became fewer and far between (with the help of daily verapamil and imitrex as needed). I remember when I was using and started getting cluster headaches (around 1980). I wouldn't admit to excessive drinking so they gave me an MRI in order to rule out a tumor. My thinking at the time made me hope it was a tumor so I wouldn't have to stop drinking! Some are sicker than others!! Hang in there...it does get better.
