Verapamil saved me!!!! I have been on an daily dose of 240 mg (120 2X/day) since 1991 as a preventative with absolutely no side effects. I still have a stash of Imitrex just in case but if I am religious about taking Verapamil (120 AM and 120 pm) I am virtually cluster headache free. So far in 1998 I have only taken 4 Imitrex tablets (25mg) and that was because I either forgot to take Verapamil or ran out of it without planning ahead. Good luck!
