Capt.
I had a Stereotactic Radiofrequency Trigeminal Rhizotomy last March. This is where they microwave the trigeminal nerve, killing it off. The odds were 80/20 going in, but I was chronic and had been for 2 years (2-7 HAs a day for 2 years) and NOTHING had worked to relieve the HAs, so my doctor said it was my only option.

It worked for a little while, then the HAs came back. Recently (about 5 months ago) I went on Topamax and it WORKED. I'm been virtually HA free since going on this "wonder" drug. It has NOT worked for about 50% of the people I know who have gone on it, but for me it's been a lifesaver.

I wish you the best of luck. If I can help feel free to e-mail me.

Hugs BD
