Some really horrible things just aren't fair. A good dog that dies young is one of those things. Your humanity in wanting to speak of it, and your grace in being able to be grateful that at least you weren't having CH, present a good and strong example. I wonder how many of us clusterheads are animal people. A lot I'd guess. There seems to be a predictable bond between good critters and folks who struggle with something that makes them "different". Right now I'm watching my 14 yr. old Lab cross slowly "wind down" her time with us. It's tough. She's seen one hell of a lot of midnight pacing and moaning, from her "headache hideout" under the kitchen table, I can assure you. Good thoughts at you, my friend.
