I have always believed that my 'out of cycle' cycles have followed periods of high stress. Seems very consistent with the reports we read here often that, during cycle, the Demon seems to hit after work, during relaxation periods and during sleep. Toss in the (apparent) high percentage of 'Type-A' personalities that we seem to be comprise of and it seems unlikely (to ME) that stress is an immediate 'trigger'.
