My mother was given a shot of nybain(check spelling)and was told not to take any meds for 3 hrs. She was out of it for three DAYS. Passed out in the door-way for three hrs. then on the bathroom floor for another 3 and passed out the next day while brushing teeth for another 3. While conscious Dad said her behavior was extremely eratic as if she were sleep walking. She is 76 and had double by-pass surgery 3 1/2 mo ago and is on all kinds of meds. The Dr. that gave her the shot didn't ask if she had taken any meds and told her that this was a normal reaction to this drug. She is unable to take other drugs for pain. The kicker is, this headache was caused by a sinus problem. She developes a knot on her forehead from time to time and gives her a sinus problem (at least that what the Dr. tells her?????).
