what has helped me:

like the other post-
stay up late, reading fun stuff, milk & cookies
until I'm drowsy and pretty calmed down
then 3 benadryl & off to bed
add a cafergot to the benadryl if things have been going particularly tough

have the "immediate response" aids handy & force yourself to hop out of bed the instant you are wakened
sometimes I sort of 1/2 wake and drowse along, hoping it will go away I guess
that is BAD news !!!!

on the other hand, I've trained myself to hit the deck the instant it hits
and then I have a much better chance of a quick attack relief
this is where the oxygen gets a workout & it works !

ALSO
I have learned over last few clusters i MUSTb get enough sleep, no matter what it takes,
so sometimes I'm up all night, and sleep from 4 or 5 am to noon or later

good luck
