They are because pain is subjective.
It helps me to try to find a performance meter.
Be it for athletic ability, professional performance, or pain.
This lets me know where I need to try harder.
This info has given me new fuel for the fight.
I know, sometimes to surrender is to win.
Well, maybe sometimes we need to fight to surrender?
At any rate it is goog for me to have some goals.
