In addition to the offgassing of the materials, many buildings were made tighter in the name of energy conservation. ASHRAE (the authority on air conditioning) recommended 5 cfm/person of fresh air. They have now raised that back to 25 cfm/person.
Now if we could just stop drummer from offgassing!
