For this cycle of headaches I used half shots of Imitrex. Always got rid of the headache but seemed to take longer. If I use a full shot it takes about 5 minutes, half shots take 10 to 15. It's hard to wait the extra 10 minutes sometimes but I was getting 6 HA a day and it helped to use the half shots. I have never tried only using 2 mg.
