When I discovered this site a couple of days ago, I felt as if I had finally come home. I've never met a single other soul who suffers from CH, so have never had anyone who understood. My bouts with the Beast are atypical, as each headache lasts 6-8 hours and each cluster 3-4 months. Taking Atenolol on a daily basis has given me remission times of up to 2 years. The only thing that has ever been able to stop a cluster for me is Aristocort in decreasing doses over a period of 10 weeks, but the cluster was broken as soon as I started taking it. Doctors are very reluctant to prescribe because of damage it apparently does. I'm in a cluster now, which started while I was on Prednisone for lung and bronchial infection. This cluster is more like the ones I see described here - lasting for only an hour and a half to two hours. - I am so thankful for having found all of you. Just knowing I am no longer alone has been the greatest blessing I could ask for. I have been in tears off and on ever since I found you, to know I finally have someone I can talk to who will understand. Thank you....Thank you for being here.
