Call me dogmatic (my family uses another not so picturesque word) but the way I see it the pituitary can't help but be involved. Just as in "the hip bone connected to the thigh bone, thigh bone connected to the knee bone" ...the pituitary is connected to hypothalamus. Major happenings in the bod are carried out through the pituitary on down through a chain of command that starts with the hypothalamus. These two gland are interrelated ("you can't have one without the other") you will have to excuse me, I sometimes go off on a tangent, but the entire endocrine system is involved here. It can't help but not be. It works on a circuit, a feedback system that is so complex, so ingenious that it boggles the mind ( mine at least). Anyway, I know nothing about nothing, except what I know (confused yet - I am). I'm sure Dr Goadsby is making a list and checking it twice.
