I think Dr. Goadsby says he is going to concentrate on pathological study now. I'm not sure exactly what that means.
My input: look for an excess of those nerve fibres around the blood vessels where the CGRP (a neuropeptide responsible for dilation of blood vessels) is located. I hope the good doctor will experiment on rats for the time being! We won't need to make the ultimate sacrifice just yet.
