I don't know Elavil (I live in Europe and maybe the brand name is different). I have been treated with amitriptyline (Redomex), quite uselessly. It would seem (but I'm not a doctor), that amitriptyline is NOT adequate for CH, quite on the contrary. It may be effective against tension headaches, but I repeat, not for CH. It is used to help people get of benzodiazepins and the likes.
