Linda -

I read an article just over a year ago in the University of Michigan's student newspaper, the Michigan Daily, that found a possible correlation between CH and sleep disorders. It seems that every CH sufferer that was treated for a sleep disorder stopped getting CH. I haven't seen any kind of follow-up to this, though, so I don't know if all these people are still pain-free. Several searches on the University's web site (www.umich.edu) have been fruitless. I can't find any more about it, but if it's true, maybe that would explain why they come at night. It would also explain the gender differences, because more men have sleep disorders than women, and more men have CH than women.

Has anybody else heard of this study? Has anyone been diagnosed and/or treated with sleep disorder?
