Dr. greg, I'm new to this site, only found it tues. after my first CH in two years. I was just talking to a couple of friends about this very subject tonight. The first time I had a cluster episode (appx 13 yrs ago) I asked my dr about this. I was in a car accident and my face/head went thru the windshield. I have scars right above the inner part of my right eyebrow. Directly above the main pain point of my CHs. My original thought was there was remaining glass fragments, or a nerve had been damaged. That Dr. dismissed that whole relationship because the accident had been three years prior. (of course he also said the headache was caused by the trigeminal nerve). After all the tests, I still wonder about the connection. Another thought on the same line. I also suffer from polycystic ovaries. I realize this is hormonal, but as the majority of CH sufferers are men, has anyone ever looked at the women patients other possible hormonal problems? Sorry this is so long, hope it helps your research.

Karine
