Can your neuro do that? I don't think so. You need to call your state representative and file a complaint if your neuro actually does that. Then, do as Bob G suggested and hire a good lawyer and sue the pants off that creep. I don't believe a doc can do that unless they are a psyche who has diagnosed you as a threat to others. I have NEVER heard of a neuro having the power to do such a thing. Ask him if he intends to be your chauffer.

I'm really sorry Stephen. You are learning what happens to alot of CH sufferers. I have been what is known as "chronic" for two years now and have basically lost everything. No one has taken away my driving priviledges, but I do not do much highway driving anymore, and pretty much limit myself to in-town driving. I try not to drive too much anymore, as I too suffer from major sleep deprivation. It can affect your judgement, but I believe it should be left to the individual to make that decision - not some quack neuro.

I am beginning to believe 85% of doctors are morons, and probably do more drugs than they prescribe to thier patients. They rip us off, humiliate us, and in some cases (like mine) give us even more headaches to deal with. My doc requires $100.00 cash upfront before she will see you, and so my last two visits were 'rescheduled' due to lack of finances. CH has almost completely destroyed my life. Right now I am forced to just 'deal with it', as I have no money, no meds and nothing to help deal with it.

Hopefully things will look up for you, in the meantime - just try to hang in there. You do have alot more to deal with than just cluster pain (which some people don't seem to think is a big deal.) Keep posting on this message board, and feel free to ask any questions. There are alot of knowledgable people here who might be able to help.

Peace,
Carl D
