Hi Greg-
I grew up with 3 brothers, so I've had my share of 'head knocks', but nothing every little kid hasn't been through. No concussions or what I would call 'serious' head injuries. Several traumas to other parts of my body...finger chopped off, knee cartilege torn, etc.

Other possible factors:
Like jonny, I was always the shortest kid in the class. Unlike him, I'm still not 6' and pretty sure I'm not going to grow anymore.

Born with a heart murmur. Never had any known effects from it, but it didn't disappear at 10-12 y/o as the docs said it would.

Also born 6 weeks premature.

Started snatching cigarettes and smoking at about 14, but didn't start regularly smoking until 18. Also began alcohol at 18.

Italian/English descent, born in upstate NY. Clusters started at 30, 7 years after moving south. (NC first then Ga.) At that time, had done very little travelling and none outside the US or even beyond the East Coast. Subsequently travelled extensively throughout North America and also to England and France.

My 'triggers' are: alcohol during cycle only; red wine (more than 1-2 glasses) will cause a bad, non-ch HA centered in the back of my neck. The only known allergy is to bee stings.

Keep up the great work!
T
