VD, your original statement was that clusters are not unique and in fact are really no different than migraines and tension headaches.

I won't get into the 'my pain is worse than yours' thing. You already resolved that, and several people here who have both migraines and clusters have expressed it much more eloquently.

The point is this: clusters are ABSOLUTELY unique....as are migraines and tension headaches. This is not a subjective assessment and has NOTHING to do with relative pain. It has to do with the clinical diagnosis of headache types, and is a sensitive issue to we clusterheads because you can't treat clusters as an offshoot of migraines or tension headaches any more than you can treat cancer as an offshoot of periodontal disease.
