Welcome to OUR CH world. Doctors are always worried about protecting themselves. They don't want to be blamed for causing addicts. Besides, from my experience and what I have read here, stronger meds don't necessarily work better. My doctor once tried morphine. It put me out in left field, but still had headache. Try oxygen. It works great for me!! The easy way out for you would be to be gone and I'm glad to see you are willing to help your fiance. This shows he made a good choice of partners! Hang in there. Once you find something that works, life will be much better for both of you.
